It turns out that Deadpool 2 can not be called Deadpool 2 after all.

On the film's official website and in 20th Century Fox's e-mails following the release of the first trailer, the movie is called "Untitled Deadpool Sequel".

It is not uncommon for movies to be referenced in this way before a studio is ready to reveal the real title. Logan has been called "Untitled Wolverine Sequel" for a while, and the fourth Avengers movie is still called by Marvel Studios as "Untitled Avengers Sequel".

However, knowing how Meta Deadpool is, and the fact that the film is referenced this way on its own official website, make us believe that there is at least a chance that "Untitled Deadpool Sequel" is the actual title of the film under .
