A piece of Hitman is free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
right now
If you have not tried Hitman's reboot yet in 2016, now
is the time to dive. The first chapter of the game, which takes place in Paris,
is currently free on PS4, Xbox One and PC. In addition, the developer IO has
announced that the missions on the theme of Christmas are free for a limited
time.
Hitman's Holiday Pack is also available for nothing
now after being presented this time last year. It includes two thieves trying
to ruin Christmas by stealing everyone's gifts, and it also lets you throw a
brick at Santa (do not try it at home.
The introduction of the game has been free since June,
but Paris is the first full part of Hitman, and it's a good example of what the
game offers. This free version of the level includes everything you would have
if you had paid for it, and it's free from January 5th, but if you download it
now, it will remain free for you after that date.
Hitman had a great year in 2017. Its developer was put
on sale by the owner Square Enix in May, before becoming independent in June.
The title of the action then got an edition of the game of the year in October
before a new game and a new TV show were confirmed in November.
We enjoyed the Paris chapter here at GameSpot. Critic
Peter Brown awarded him a 7/10, writing, "Hitman is a real playground that
will delight you with its open design, its comic NPCs and its tools for
creating contracts, these qualities and the flexibility to be as hardcore or
casual as you want, are much appreciated, even if they do not hide the lesser
qualities of Hitman. Read more in our review Hitman Episode One or read our
verdict of the game as a whole in our review Hitman.
